Biography:

Dr. Campbell is a native Texan. He graduated with a B.A. in Chemistry and received his M.D. from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. He completed a flexible/surgical internship at Naval Hospital San Diego and served as a flight surgeon and emergency room physician for the U.S. Navy, including tours with the Antarctic Development Squadron and participation in Desert Storm with the Eighth Carrier Air Wing. He received his Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology training at the University of Virginia, including additional elective training in Musculoskeletal/Spinal Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology. After his residency, he did a fellowship in Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology at Duke University, with additional Interventional Radiology training. Additionally, he has done a mini-fellowship in Head and Neck Radiology at the University of Utah and has spent two weeks observing spinal interventional procedures at C.D.I. in Minneapolis, MN. Before moving to Austin, Dr. Campbell practiced radiology and Neuroradiology with Radiology Associates of Mobile in Alabama and served as Neuroradiology Affiliate Faculty at the University of South Alabama. He joined Capital Imaging Associates in 1998 setting a new standard in the radiology community for excellence in patient care. This included seeing patients in consultation and performing procedures for both diagnosis and therapy. He has a special interest in Spinal Intervention, including vertebroplasty, discography, nerve blocks, and epidural injections. Dr. Campbell is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and has a board certification of additional qualification in Neuroradiology. He formed Central Texas Radiology & Spine Consultants in 2003 based in Austin, Texas. He is committed to providing excellence in patient care and setting the highest standard of service to the physicians that refer to him.
